I am Tommi Berning the owner of Prairie Flower Quilts in Leoti, KS.
A friend asked me if I wanted to learn how to make quilts from her mother in law. I thought that would be fun, so we both went over to Mary’s house (the sweet mother-in-law) and learned how to quilt. I had almost all my blocks made that afternoon, with fabric from Mary’s awesome stash, and was completely hooked. My friend never sewed again!
I’ve been making quilts for 19 years now and I still love it.
Now, I get to share that love of quilting and enjoy other people’s love of it too.
One of my favorite things about the shop is getting to see what people create and what choices they decide to make.
I’m just a girl who loves to sew!
