By Wendy Martin – Harvest Moon Quilting Company
Wendy Martin has been sewing, quilting, and crafting all her life, remembering  tying quilts with both her grandmothers. Quilting remains her favorite craft to this day, especially the math and calculations it takes to design a quilt. A lifelong South Dakota resident, Wendy is a wife, mother of two, and a nurse who runs a Longarm Quilting business and raises a large flock of sheep.  When all that does not keep her busy, she enjoys card making and paper crafting with her mother.

By Cheryl Nelson – Pink Parakeet Designs
Cheryl Nelson is the proud business owner and quilt enthusiast behind Pink Parakeet Designs. When she’s not busy turning fabric into quilts, she is plotting her next quilt design or trying to locate her phone (spoiler: it’s probably under a pile of fabric!). Each pattern is created with love and detail. You can find her creations at both local quilt shops and on Etsy, connecting her with customers around the world. Cheryl thrives on inspiration from everyday life–music, sunny days, a touch of whimsy, and…flamingos! Each pattern tells a story, and she hopes her designs inspire others to create. She enjoys engaging with fellow creators, especially at Camp Tecumseh Quilt Camp in Delphi, Indiana, where every conversation is a learning opportunity.

Star of the Barnyard
(Pattern in magazine only)

By Lisa DeBord – The Quilt Rack & Wool Cubby
Lisa started sewing at a young age, receiving her first sewing machine at ten. Her quilting journey began in the early 1990s, and she opened The Quilt Rack in 2002, later adding wool to her offerings. Over the years, Lisa crept into the design world, with patterns available through Cut Loose Press and local quilt shops. This year’s fabric, and her subsequent pattern “Star of the Barnyard,” reflects her Midwestern vibe. Don’t let the pattern intimidate you-it is much easier than it looks! Lisa would love to see everyone’s finished project via email or in person.

Tammy volunteers her time at local Lincoln quilt guilds and her P.E.O. chapter. She also works in sales and education at her local Bernina store. Tammy loves all things fabric, creativity, and design related. She spends any free time she has creating new fabric designs and quilts, as well as learning new art.

Homestead Glory
(Pattern in magazine only)

By Tammy Hermann – Sew So Cozy Designs
Tammy learned to quilt and design her own quilt blocks as a young child from her grandmother. However, as an adult, life with a husband, four children, and a career as an executive in the tech industry meant that for decades there was no time for quilting. Tammy is now retired and bringing her high tech skills forward fulltime for quilting and quilt design. You can follow Tammy’s business, Sew So Cozy Designs, on Facebook, Instagram, and SewSoCozyDesigns.com.
