The Quilt Shop is located at 314 Main in The Fair Store building, a former grocery store built in 1904. With over 4,000 square feet on the main level, we have plenty of room for you to shop in comfort!
We have an entire wall of all the latest notions, four racks packed full of books, and hundreds of patterns on every endcap. We offer patterns ranging from traditional to modern.
Our fabric supply is over the top! We have over 7,000 bolts of quilting cottons- flannels, cuddle, fleece! You can shop through over 100 wide backs. Our dedicated fabric areas include: seasonal fabrics, a Christmas room that is packed full all year long, oriental fabrics, a huge juvenile section, a men’s section, and a large floral section. We also offer a huge selection of blenders and a big assortment of reproduction fabric, both civil war and 30’s. Our batiks are gorgeous, we have an enormous area of flannel and lots of patriotic fabrics. We are a Quilts of Valor certified shop. We offer a large selection of Aurifil thread as well as other specialty threads.
The Quilt shop is the place to go for KITS! Our kit selection ranges from pillow covers to king size quilts. Never wonder how your next project will look! We have over 200 items made up with matching kits AND with our 16 foot ceilings you can see the entire quilt on display.
The Quilt Shop also has plenty of precuts including fat quarters, charm packs, jelly rolls, layer cakes, and honeycombs with a nice selection of coordinates.
When coming into Wakefield turn at 3rd Street (at Cubbby’s gas stations) and travel two blocks west to main street. Turn left on Main. The Quilt Shop is located on the right side of the street just before the alley. I would suggest County Line or Sidelines if you are hungry.
Our regular hours are 9-5 during the week, 10-2 on Saturday, and Sunday by chance. We know you are traveling and want to see as many shops as possible during the shop hop. So just give us a call and we would be happy to open early or stay late.
